A young man committed suicide after shooting his girlfriend first at a guest house in Kolkata's Lake Gardens. He shot himself in the head and died on the spot. The woman has been admitted to the hospital. The duo has been identified as Rakesh Kumar Sah and Nikku Kumari. Both were residents of Budge Budge.
The incident took place in the Lake police station area. The couple was staying in the Metro guest house. According to police sources, they went to that guest house on Sunday. The incident happened around 4:45 pm on Wednesday. guest house records show that the couple checked in at around 2:00 pm and were staying in Room No. 301 on the third floor.
According to police sources, the young man first fired at the woman. She was shot in the stomach. After that, the man shot himself in the head with that pistol. The girl was rescued and taken to a private hospital in Jadavpur.
